A $20,000 bounty is being offered for any information that could capture 21-year-old Jesus Blanchard’s killer.
The 21-year-old of Westall Group, Vieux Fort, died Saturday evening after being shot multiple times by a lone gunman.
“We are trying to get this crime solved in Vieux Fort,” Vieux Fort resident Bertram Fevrier said.
The reward follows a video widely circulated on social media detailing Blanchard’s execution.
The deceased was seated by the road with another male when a lone gunman walked up to him, shooting him several times before walking away into the cover of the night.
This prompted a group of concerned citizens in the community, including the business sector, to put up the reward.
“We are prepared to give $20,000 to anyone who can provide a good photo, video, or any information that could lead to the shooter's arrest. We want young Jesus to be the last one killed in Vieux Fort,” said Fevrier.
